Just under a month after Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde's Avengelyne first made waves, the project has a new studio home in Warner Bros.

The project was first announced in early April, with Robbie set to star in the adaptation of Rob Liefeld's (Deadpool) comic book, and produce through her LuckyChap company.

Wilde was also set to direct, with the original report said the project was heading to an auction for the rights.

Now it's being reported that a seven-figure deal is being finalized for Warner Bros. to come aboard, with Deadline reporting that most of the deals are already closed.

The project brings Robbie back to Warner Bros., the studio where she made the blockbuster Barbie and where her LuckyChap company has a first-look overall deal.

The latest report also reveals that Poor Things screenwriter Tony McNamara has signed on to write the script adapted from Liefeld's comic book.

This is the studio's second big deal this week, after securing another seven-figure deal for a Chris Farley biopic starring Paul Walter Hauser with director Josh Gad.

This Avengelyne deal is said to be bigger than the Farley biopic deal, according to this report.

Avengelyne was created by Liefeld in 1995, based on the likeness of former Vampirella model Cathy Christian.

The comic was published by Maximum Press, also taking inspiration from Ben Dunn's Warrior Nun Areala, which was adapted into the Warrior Nun Netflix series.

The character is described as an angel who fights the forces of evil, regularly coming into contact with demons and other nefarious creatures.

While she has single-handedly taken on the devil himself, she was also banished from heaven after she was tricked into questioning his love for humans.

Now she spends her time on Earth fighting demons, and is considered the world's last hope in staving off Armageddon.
